Christopher S. Kälin
Christopher S. KälinManaging Partner, CPP APMP Fellow
Christopher S. Kälin is a global authority in bid and proposal management and the author of The Ultimate Bid and Proposal Compendium which has become the number one reference book for bid and proposal managers across the planet. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of CSK Management. He works with companies around the world to win strategic deals and to improve their success rates. He has helped them generating over 50 billion dollars in business across many industries, including IT, telecoms, defence, transportation, financial industries, event organisation, gambling and business outsourcing. He also conducts live and virtual training programmes on how to win more business with bid and proposal best practices. He is also a well-received speaker at business development conferences and sales conventions around the globe.
He was co-founder and chairman of the German-speaking APMP chapter (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) and regional director for Europe/Africa. He is APMP-certified at Professional Level (CPP APMP) and holds the micro certifications BW-M, ES-M, GR-M, and PW-M, and is an APMP Approved Trainer. In 2013, he received the prestigious Fellows Award.
He developed the BidMaster™ Framework and the Storyline Method™ for developing compelling proposals.
He graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Information Technology from Zurich University.
Klaus Pohlmann
Klaus PohlmannPartner, CF APMP Fellow
Klaus Pohlmann is a partner at CSK Management. He has an in-depth knowledge in the fields of Bid and Proposal Management, which he has acquired in different branches of various international companies over the past 20 years. During his career path, he has held various positions at EDS, Sharp Electronics, Logica, Lufthansa Systems and Computacenter. His experience ranges from qualifying opportunities, leading and coaching international bid teams to negotiating contracts with customers and partners. His specialties are Risk Management, process improvement, international business development and on-site coaching of bid teams. As the responsible Bid Manager, he has managed many outsourcing deals, from opportunity qualification to contract negotiation, leading the bid team to cross the target line. Klaus Pohlmann graduated in Economics from the University of Applied Science Giessen-Friedberg. He is a certified member of APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals). He also served as the chairman of the German speaking chapter. In 2017, he was awarded the APMP Fellows Award.
Kathryn Potter
Kathryn PotterPartner (UK office), CP CAP APMP
Kathryn is an experienced bid and proposal professional with experience as a writer, reviewer and bid manager. Her experience has been gained across multiple sectors including finance, IT outsourcing, recruitment, professional services and construction and rail. She works with clients to improve their bid processes and efficiency by examining existing processes and systems and making recommendations on how best to leverage these and where new systems and processes might be of use. She is a certified APMP Practitioner and Capture Practitioner and has co-presented on content management and strategy at the APMP UK conference in 2019, the APMP European conference in 2020 and on process and content at the APMP’s Digital Marketing Conference in May 2021. She has also presented workshops and webinars on content at the 2020 WIBAP (Women in Bids and Proposals) conference in the UK and as part of the APMP UK’s webinar series. She also co-presented a second session on process and content at the APMP’s virtual European conference in July 2021. Her interest in training and best practice is reflected in her role as a lecturer on the Bid Coordinator Apprenticeship programme in the UK during the first year of its inception. She also contributes to Bidding Quarterly on an ad hoc basis and is one of Bid Solutions’ panel of experts responding to questions on reusable content and content management.
